I am a Chilean Ph.D. candidate in Information Science at Cornell University. My research focuses on how political processes shape technology policy and technology (political process -> tech policy -> technology) and, in the other direction, how technologies shape political processes (technology -> political processes). My work aims to bridge the HCI and technology policy communities. I work with amazing professors: Cristobal Cheyre (advisor), Qian Yang, and Malte Ziewitz.

Before arriving at Cornell, I worked at the Chilean Government, where I led the creation of the Chilean AI policy and participated in multiple technology-related initiatives. I hold a M.Sc. and B.A. in System Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica, Chile. My M.Sc. advisor was Julio Pertuze.

I'm the co-founder of  Foresight, a consultancy firm where we help thinking and constructing the future through collective action. We have been involved in many projects, such as developing the Latin American AI Index with CENIA, and implementing  UNESCO's Readiness Assessment Methodology in Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Cambodia.
